Movie review of "Forrest Gump"

My favorite movie is Forrest Gump. This drama movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis and released in 1994. The main character of this movie, Forrest Gump, was played by Tom Hanks. Before I explain the good points about this movie, let me introduce a summary of this movie.

The main character, Forrest Gump was born with an intellectual disability and he had to wear special equipment on his legs because he couldn’t walk without it. On the first day of elementary school, he meets a girl named Jenny. His encounter with her is a turning point in his life…

 

There are three good points of this movie. First, the story is really touching. I usually never cry watching movies, but this movie got me. The scene when Forrest became able to run was the most touching scene I have ever seen in any movie.

Second, the performance of the actors is impressive. Tom Hanks’s performance was especially impressive to me. As I said before, Forrest has an intellectual disability so I think it is hard to act as a man like Forrest. But Tom Hanks performed perfectly.

Third, characters in this movie are really unique. I like every character in this movie, but I really like Lieutenant Dan the most. He was a strict lieutenant when he met Forrest Gump for the first time but as he spent time with Forrest, he noticed how life is wonderful. I like the process of how he changes in this movie.

 

Of course, there are a lot of other good point’s in this movie, so if you are looking for a touching movie, I highly recommend this one.
